Views from Leros Castle. It is quite a climb up the stairs to Leros Castle, but once you are there you can see most of the island. The castle was abandoned by the Knights of St. John, when they moved to Malta after the defeat in Rhodes in 1522.

May 10th 2017 we went to Trecastagni in Sicily and watched the Festa di S. Alfio, a religious event with blessings, procession and all. The whole town was turned into a market.

There's a lot to see but one has to look beyond the wild grasses and visit the two related museums and its artefacts on the site. Plus the staff is more than willing to give useful information

I don't recall the name of the apartment hotel, but it was just across the street from "Andreas' Studios" in Mastichari - the penthouse apartment.
Very nice, we stayed a bit further up the road but love the view here. Maybe will go back one day...
